Abacus Solutions Group is currently recruiting for an AR Accounting Technician role based in Decatur GA. This role is a long-term contract position.

The primary responsibility is serving as the Accounts Receivable Accounting Technician and ensuring all accounting policies are being followed in accordance with GAAP, federal and state guidelines. The selected candidate must be able to successfully and accurately complete work processes related to the posting of revenue received under the direct supervision of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and Accounts Receivable Team Lead.

Responsibilities include:

• Process accounts receivable transactions in TeamWorks Financials.
• Process check, ACH and Wire deposits.
• Assist with researching miscellaneous receipts and provide feedback to the AR Supervisor and AR Team Lead.
• Prepare spreadsheets and queries for review as needed.
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related area from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of job-related experience in accounting, billing, or collection systems.
• Associate’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related area from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of job-related accounting or fiscal experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of GAAP accounting.
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel and creating pivot tables.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelors’ degree in accounting from an accredited college or university
• At least 1 year of professional accounting experience.
• Experience using TeamWorks Financials, or any other accounting system.
