Job Description

Position Title: Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative

Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable Representative will be responsible for managing full-cycle B2B accounts receivable for an assigned book of business. This role focuses heavily on collections, payment application, and detailed account research while maintaining professional, assertive communication with customers, including executive-level contacts. The position is fully onsite and joins a long-tenured, collaborative finance team with strong leadership support and growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounts receivable for an assigned portfolio of B2B customers, including proactive collections and consistent customer follow-up
  • Post and apply payments accurately and timely
  • Perform detailed account research, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution
  • Investigate and resolve billing and payment issues, including working with paper-based and legacy documentation
  • Conduct professional, assertive follow-up communications, including escalation and executive-level outreach when needed
  • Maintain detailed documentation and support audit and internal review needs

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience in business-to-business accounts receivable and collections (years of experience flexible based on overall fit and compensation)
  • Strong collections background with the ability to be firm and persistent without being aggressive
  • High attention to detail, particularly with payment application and reconciliations
  • Strong research, investigative, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort working in paper-heavy or manual processes
  • Ability to communicate professionally and confidently with internal leadership and external executives

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in NetSuite or similar ERP systems

Work Schedule and Location

  • Fully onsite position
  • Monday through Friday with set core hours

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly rate currently targeted at $18–$20 per hour, with possible flexibility based on experience
