The Effective Behavior Interventions Clinic is a growing clinic seeking an experienced, personable, and energetic person, ready for the challenges and rewards of working with diverse teams of direct caregivers, family members, and community providers supporting individuals with challenging behaviors. This unique consultative role allows for the connection across different providers.
A successful candidate will:
● Have 3 years experience providing behavior analytic supports to individuals in home, community, or school settings
● Have 2 years experience developing and implementing behavioral intervention plans
● Have 2 years experience providing training or technical assistance to individuals, families, or providers individually or in group settings
● Use applied behavioral science with relevant postgraduate professional experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
● Holds the national certification to practice behavior analysis by the BACB and the ability to be licensed in Alaska by date of hire.
To thrive in this role, the successful candidate will be a collaborative and effective trainer who can translate complex behavior analytic concepts into practical strategies for diverse audiences, including clinical staff, educators, direct support professionals, and family members. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, the ability to provide constructive feedback in supervision settings, and the organizational skills to manage multiple training and consultation responsibilities. The ideal candidate remains current in research and best practices in applied behavior analysis, trauma-informed care, and related fields, and is committed to building the capacity of teams supporting individuals with challenging behaviors.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Education or other related field from an accredited program and three years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Holds the national certification to practice behavior analysis by the BACB and the ability to be licensed in Alaska by date of hire.Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. This position requires a minimum of 2 days in the office or in the field per week, with no more than 3 days per week working remotely. This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 80, based on education and experience.
