JOB SUMMARY:
The Custodian is responsible for providing cleaning services for assigned contract facilities and maintaining clean, safe, and orderly environments in compliance with contract standards. This role plays an essential part in ensuring all areas meet established cleanliness, sanitation, and safety requirements. The Custodian is expected to always maintain a professional and courteous attitude.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Perform general cleaning duties including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.
•
Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and other assigned spaces.
•
Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue as needed.
•
Operate and maintain cleaning equipment in safe working conditions; report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
•
High school diploma or GED required
CERTICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Ability to pass background check / fingerprinted and drug screen.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
•
Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions.
•
Ability to perform essential cleaning tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
•
Must meet any background or security clearance requirements for assigned contract sites.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. May be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands/arms with full range of motion, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull. Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons
Work Environment
Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
