Role Description

We're looking for a Head of Content & Thought Leadership to lead our editorial strategy and build one of the most influential content platforms in venture capital.

You'll own the voice of 16VC across:

• Articles
• Reports
• Newsletters
• Podcasts
• Social media
• Executive communications

Turning ideas, insights, and investment perspectives into content that founders, investors, operators, and the media want to read and share.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and execute 16VC's global content strategy.
• Create high-quality thought leadership for our partners and leadership team.
• Write and edit articles, reports, opinion pieces, newsletters, and website content.
• Ghostwrite LinkedIn posts, keynote speeches, interviews, and executive communications.
• Produce annual industry reports, market insights, and research publications.
• Collaborate with portfolio companies on storytelling opportunities.
• Work with media and communications teams to amplify content reach.
• Manage podcasts, videos, webinars, and other multimedia content initiatives.
• Maintain a consistent editorial voice and publishing calendar.
• Measure content performance and continuously improve engagement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in editorial, journalism, content strategy, or thought leadership.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills.
• Experience creating content for business, technology, venture capital, or startups.
• Strong understanding of AI, startups, venture capital, and innovation.
• Ability to simplify complex ideas into compelling narratives.
• Experience managing editorial calendars and working in a remote environment.

Requirements

• Preferred Background: Candidates with experience at publications such as Bloomberg, TechCrunch, Forbes, Fortune, Financial Times, WIRED, The Economist, The Economic Times, Mint, Business Standard, or YourStory or content leadership roles at leading technology companies or venture capital firms are highly encouraged to apply.
