Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, professional, and customer-focused Licensed Nail Technician to join our growing spa team. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional nail care services while creating a relaxing, welcoming experience for every client. This role is responsible for providing high-quality manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements, and nail art while maintaining the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and client care.

In addition to technical expertise, the Nail Technician will educate clients on proper nail care, recommend retail products and complementary spa services, and help build lasting client relationships that support long-term practice growth. This position plays an important role in delivering the exceptional experience our clients expect from GunRunner Spa.

Position Status

This position is primarily a full-time opportunity. However, we are also open to considering part-time candidates who are the right fit for our team and our culture.

Saturday availability is required as part of the regular schedule.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform professional manicures and pedicures, including nail trimming, shaping, cuticle care, buffing, and polishing.
• Apply builder gel, gel polish, nail enhancements, and other advanced nail services as trained and licensed.
• Provide relaxing hand and foot massage techniques as part of treatment services.
• Create customized nail art and designs based on client preferences while staying current with industry trends.
• Conduct client consultations to understand goals and recommend appropriate nail services and maintenance plans.
• Educate clients on proper nail care and recommend retail products to support nail health between appointments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully sanitized workstation in accordance with all state regulations and infection control standards.
• Stay current on industry trends, techniques, products, and continuing education opportunities.
• Build strong client relationships that encourage client retention and referrals.
• Recommend additional spa services and retail products that complement each client's goals.
• Assist with maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the spa, including treatment areas, common spaces, laundry, and inventory support as needed.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, promotions, and special events as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Alabama Nail Technician or Cosmetology License required.
• Certification or advanced training in builder gel, nail enhancements, or specialty nail techniques preferred.
• Previous experience in a spa, salon, or medical spa environment preferred, but not required.

• Strong knowledge of nail care techniques, products, sanitation practices, and current industry trends.
• Excellent attention to detail with a creative eye for nail design.
