Job Description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Packer for a plastics manufacturing company in Ontario, CA. This is a temp-to-hire day shift position paying $17.00/hr. In this role, you will pull, pack, weigh, and label plastic bags based on daily orders, inspecting items for defects before packaging. Overtime may be required based on production needs.

Pay: $17.00/hr

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

Location: Ontario, CA

Responsibilities

• Follow shipping documents and production schedules to fulfill daily packing orders for plastic products.
• Ensure all products are clean, properly packaged, and sealed per production standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following facility protocols.
• Read and interpret written work instructions, labels, and shipping documents.
• Communicate defects and production issues to line supervisors.

Minimum Requirements

• 6 months of general labor, packing, or production experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a plastics, packaging, or light manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality inspection or defect identification on a production line.
• Ability to read and follow shipping documents, work orders, or production schedules.
• Experience maintaining a clean and organized work station in a regulated or clean-room environment.
• Comfortable working at a consistent pace on a production or assembly line.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
