As a Airport Security Officer - Dispatch in Kahului HI youll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers staff and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols engaging with the public and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Overnight

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee .

Requirements

• Valid Drivers License
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking dispatching and CCTV monitoring
• Security Experience: 1 years
• 21 years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check drug screening and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
• NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors passengers and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and report conditions hazards and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals access points parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and support site rules.
• Monitor entry and restricted areas verify access permissions when required and document routine activities incidents and/or policy violations according to post orders.
• Assist with crowd management directional support and public interactions during busy travel periods special events and/or operational disruptions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be 21 years of age.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
