Senior Financial Analyst (with PM Experience)

Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst with strong Project Management (PM) experience to support capital projects within a manufacturing environment. This role will partner closely with project managers and finance leadership to track, validate, and optimize capital expenditures, ensuring accurate financial reporting and realization of cost savings.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate project costs to identify and recognize savings opportunities
• Track capital expenditures (CapEx) by project and by month, ensuring alignment with financial plans
• Partner with Project Managers to understand project timelines, planned spend, and financial impact
• Monitor actual vs. planned spend and provide variance analysis and insights
• Review and validate financial data within NetSuite, including P&L, expenses, and transaction-level details
• Support the development, submission, and tracking of business cases for capital projects
• Evaluate project performance by comparing projected vs. realized savings
• Drive cost optimization initiatives and identify areas for efficiency improvements
• Provide financial reporting and forecasting support for manufacturing operations
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems and reports

Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related roles

• Proven Project Management experience , preferably in a financial or capital project setting
• Strong expertise in NetSuite ERP , including:
• Pulling financial reports
• Reviewing P&L statements
• Analyzing expenses and transaction-level data
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Background working with multi-national and/or public companies
• Hands-on experience managing capital expenditures (CapEx) , including:
• Business case development and submission
• Project execution tracking
• Savings validation and cost management
• Prior experience as an FP&A Manager or Controller with ownership of P&L strongly preferred
