The truck dispatcher is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and communicating with field personnel, drivers, and emergency responders to ensure efficient, timely operations. This role demands strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and organized in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, prioritize, and respond to incoming calls, requests, and service orders.
  • Dispatch drivers, technicians, or field staff based on availability, location, and urgency.
  • Monitor real-time activity using GPS, dispatch software, and communication systems.
  • I'd like for you to maintain accurate logs of calls, assignments, routes, and status updates.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, clients, or the public to gather essential information.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve delays, issues, or service disruptions.
  • Adjust schedules and routes as needed to maximize efficiency.
  • Follow company protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide updates to supervisors and field personnel throughout the shift.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and shift handoffs as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and administrative support tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
