About The Role Our firm is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization in the Chippewa Falls area to identify an Accounting / Administrative Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and supporting core accounting functions within a fast-paced industry environment.
Job Description The Accounting / Administrative Assistant is responsible for computing, classifying, and recording financial data to ensure accounting records are accurate and complete. This role focuses primarily on Accounts Payable while supporting general accounting and administrative functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities Include - Perform calculating, posting, and verifying duties to maintain accounting records
- Specialize in Accounts Payable processing
- Review figures, postings, and documents for accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with procedures
- Operate accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial information
- Debit, credit, and reconcile accounts using spreadsheets and accounting systems
- Classify, record, and summarize financial data using journals and ledgers
- Prepare and issue invoices, bills, account statements, and related financial documents
- Compile routine financial, accounting, and statistical reports related to cash receipts, expenditures, payables, receivables, profits, and losses
- Code and organize financial documents according to internal procedures
- Access computerized financial information to respond to internal inquiries
- Use office equipment such as calculators, computers, and copiers to complete tasks efficiently
Qualifications Required Qualifications - Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field OR
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Basic proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets
- Ability to follow established accounting procedures and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications - One to two years of related accounting or administrative experience
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience supporting financial operations in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
