Hodgson Russ LLP, a regional law firm with 230+ attorneys in 10 offices, is seeking an Assistant Reference Librarian to join our busy Library team, resident in the Buffalo office. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting research, knowledge management, special projects, and information service functions. Essential responsibilities include, but not limited to:
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to meet deadlines, identify and anticipate needs, and follow through. ALA accredited degree in Library and Information Science, with one year experience working in a library setting; law firm experience preferred. Proficiency in using legal and non-legal research services such as Westlaw and Lexis; ability to learn numerous secondary online services such as Bloomberg Law, RIA Checkpoint, VitalLaw, and Hein Online.
Hodgson Russ offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability, flexible spending, 401(k), Paid Time Off, pension plan, and more. The good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in Buffalo is $49,237 to $60,450. Where a successful applicant is slotted within this range will vary based on legitimate criteria, such as experience and skill level.
