Job Description

We’re partnered with a manufacturing organization supporting the EV market, currently building out its EHS function for a battery assembly operation.

This role sits directly on the plant floor and works closely with operations, engineering, and production teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing.

What you’ll be doing

• Own and support EHS programs across a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Lead safety audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards
• Partner with engineering and operations on equipment, process changes, and production safety
• Maintain safety documentation, reporting, and tracking systems

What they’re looking for

• Plant-based EHS experience (not corporate or construction-only)
• Background in automotive, battery assembly (pack/module), or high-volume manufacturing
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA
• Hands-on experience with incident investigations, audits, and corrective actions
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 (VDA 6.3 is a plus)
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced production environment
