Café Clementine is an artisanal bakery and café located within the Museum of Fine Arts in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. Centered around a fully scratch-made kitchen, the café produces everything in-house daily - from laminated pastries and naturally leavened breads to a seasonally driven brunch menu.

Pay: $21.50 - $24.00 per hour

Job description:

Previous professional kitchen experience and proficiency in various cooking methods required. Please note we are a scratch kitchen.

Standard work week is Friday - Sunday between 7:30AM - 4:00PM.

Starting at $14.50/hr + tip pool (consistently averages $7.04 an hour)

Responsibilities include*:

• Prepare ingredients and execute dishes according to recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines.
• Takes weekly inventory and ensures the culinary team is adequately stocked with quality ingredients and supplies.
• Inspects finished product to ensure that established standards on quality, consistency and aesthetic appeal are met.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization
• Commitment to production safety procedures.
• All staff will be assisting on daily dishwashing and kitchen clean up.

Requirements include*:

• High School Diploma, GED or higher education
• Food Safety Manager certification preferred​
• Strong attention to detail
• Multitasking and time-management skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
• Strong commitment to highest product quality
• Ability to lift heavy items, at least 50 lbs on a daily basis
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Stamina: ability to stand for 10 hours at a time
