Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a clinical setting. This role involves direct patient interaction, clinical support, documentation, and coordination of care in accordance with physician directives, company standards, and established policies.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Support
Deliver high-quality patient care through face-to-face, telephone, and electronic communication.
Assist with patient examinations, treatments, monitoring, and preparation for diagnostic tests or procedures.
Support physicians and nursing staff with:
Injections
EKGs
Phlebotomy
Other clinical procedures as directed
Patient Intake & Documentation
Collect, verify, and document patient information including:
Vital signs
Chief complaints
Medication and allergy reviews
Health risk screening information
Extended care benefits and service status
Maintain accurate, concise, and complete documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and paper-based records as required.
Document all patient interactions, assessments, procedures, phone calls, and messages.
Care Coordination & Administrative Support
Coordinate patient care under physician direction and in compliance with company policies and standards.
Assist with daily operational tasks, including phone calls, patient messages, and follow-ups.
Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and care team members to ensure continuity of care.
Infection Control & Room Preparation
Prepare, clean, and reset patient rooms according to established clinical protocols.
Set up and maintain instruments and equipment while adhering to infection control and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), or willingness to obtain by date of hire
Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
